MENAGEMENT IN EDUCATION FOR DEMOCRACY THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF COMPETENCES FOR DEMOCRATIC CULTURE

Education for democracy is one of the key foundations of the development of society as a whole, where educational institutions play the most important role in strengthening the school environment that affirms democratic values and equips students for competent participation in a modern society that is constantly changing. By actively implementing the Council of Europe's Reference Framework of Competences for Democratic Culture in its teaching and learning plans and programs, as one of the tools used to support, defend and promote basic values, human rights, democracy, and the rule of law, the Republic of Serbia ensured the prerequisites for providing a stimulating environment in which a democratic culture develops. The paper includes an analysis of the results of system support in the application of the given framework at the level of educational policies, but also at the level of the implementation of the Quality Education for All project at the school level from 2019.
